As part of its continued growth strategy, Palatine Precision Ltd, as part of The Scanwel Group, has recently invested in new machinery for its manufacturing facility based in Rochester, Kent. The company has been delivering expert bellows solutions for over 50 years, and it manufactures and distributes an array of components and systems, serving a wide range of markets and applications, including Vacuum, Scientific, Research, Aerospace and Nuclear.

Palatine Precision has invested in a XYZ TC400, the largest capacity turning centre in the range, to complement the current XYZ SLX Lathe. This large capacity turning centre comes complete with standard equipment that includes hydraulic
chuck,12 station turret, Renishaw tool setting, swarf conveyor and tailstock.

Gary Williams, Manufacturing Manager, Palatine Precision says, “This is a significant investment and will give us the ability to bring more of our manufacturing in-house, with a maximum turning capability of 600mm. We will be able to continue to supply our customer with custom made end fittings up to our largest size bellows”.
