Since joining Palatine in June 2010, I have been given the opportunity to progress my career from a manual based machinist through to production engineer, to Manufacturing Manager. Along the way I been given the opportunity to learn many aspects of the business including CNC programming, inspection and vacuum technology. I enjoy the challenges that come from manufacturing bespoke components to our customer specification.

Palatine Precision Ltd, a Scanwel Group company, based in Rochester, Kent are looking for a Machinist. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working as part of a team of engineers dedicated to producing the best quality high precision products. You will be responsible for the operation of various conventional lathes and mills and will work with a variety of materials, primarily stainless steel, producing vacuum components and fabrications. Reporting to the Manufacturing Team Leader, you will be working as part of a team dedicated to producing the best quality high precision products. You will be responsible for the operation of a variety of assembly equipment and fixturing.
